Independents say Obama hurts job creation | Reuters
Fifty-two percent of independents said they agreed with the idea that the president has not helped create more jobs in America, an argument central to Romney's campaign.
Obama appears to have trouble convincing some members of his own party that his administration has been good for jobs: 29 percent of Democrats said they agreed with the claim that he has not been a job creator.

Mark Steyn: Earthly woes mount as Obama's rhetoric soars | obama, moon, together - Opinion - The Orange County Register
But, in fact, you don't need to ask yourself, because the Federal Reserve Board's Survey of Consumer Finances has done it for you. Between 2007 and 2010, Americans' median net worth fell 38.8 percent – or from $126,400 per family to $77,300 per family. Oh, dear. As I mentioned a few months ago, when readers asked me to recommend countries they could flee to, most of the countries worth fleeing to Americans can no longer afford to live in.
Which means we'll just have to fix things here. How likely is Barack Obama to do this? A few days ago he came to Cleveland, a city that is a byword for economic dynamism, fiscal prudence, and sound government. He gave a 54-minute address that tried the patience even of the most doting court eunuchs. "One of the worst speeches I've ever heard Barack Obama make," pronounced MSNBC's Jonathan Alter...

Respect is Earned: It’s not a benefit of the presidency
You demand respect for an office to which you have shown no respect. You demand respect of people whom you have sorely disrespected, and you have embarrassed those people through your callous actions. You have apologized for the noble actions of people whose intent was to aid those in harm’s way and yet, you still act as though it is your right to demand? One could ask a simple question, “Are you capable of adult responsibilities and mature decisions?”
In 2008, you were gifted through the vote of a majority—notwithstanding vote tampering and corruption—of people to be the leader of the greatest nation in the world, and you have spat on that nation, its laws, and the people. Your actions today, were those of a maniacal dictator and not the respectable leader of a free country. You are despicable at best and dangerous at worst. Your arrogance and flaunting of our laws with its limited power to the presidency are an affront to the people and the forefathers who founded this country to rid themselves of treachery and tyranny. You are not only a pathetic leader—less than a leader—but a sinister force in this nation.
As of the last census, there were approximately 50-million illegal aliens—people who have broken the law by coming into this country without invitation or eligibility. Of those 50-million, it is estimated that approximately half have children. You have now saddled the people of the United States with the burden of supporting the children included in that 25-million estimate. They are here illegally, and you have illegally taken steps to make us pay for their food, homes, bills, medical, schooling, and college educations. How dare you, you arrogant imposter?
You are a servant of the people. You are not Commander-in-Chief, as you have chosen to act as dictator…therefore; you have made yourself ineligible to continue in the office of President of the United States. One can only hope that there are men of dignity and honor in the houses of Congress who will finally put an end to your reign of tyranny. If not, then the people will have to act in the stead of this nation and do their duty. Never count the American people out. We have something you could never hope to possess. We have honor, dignity, and humility, and above all else, we have a good and gracious God who protects of from the vile works of evil.
You are wrong. There will be arguments presented, and you will lose. We are not an ignorant lot of infidels, as you have assumed, and we will fight for our country. You, your arrogance, and your hatefulness make those with any morals, whatsoever, sick to their stomachs. How can you even hope to win another term in an office, for which, you were never suited or capable of holding? Your lack of patriotism and not your race is the issue. You’re incapable of serving this nation. Your sanity is in question, but your loyalty is not. You have no loyalty to this country or her people, and you prove that with every speech you give and every law you break.

Articles: Obama Lurching Toward Tyranny
This comes from the man who in a speech to Latinos once referred to Republicans as "the enemy."
Constitutional conservatives, who decry big government more than establishment Republicans, consider tyranny as the enemy. Government that increasingly violates the Constitution under Republicans or Democrats is, in measure, increasingly tyrannical.
Obama's government is the biggest violator of law in our history. His very methods of governing, which include bypassing Congress's constitutional authority to make law, actually show contempt for the Constitution and the American rule of law.
By executive orders, Mr. Obama both violates the law against his own American-citizen "enemies," such as Catholic institutions when it comes to abortion and birth control, and grants unlawful privileges for his supporters or potential supporters, such as his immigration amnesty order this week.
HHS Secretary Janet Napolitano called the latter not amnesty but...

Lamar Smith: Obama's amnesty for illegal immigrants is against the law - CSMonitor.com
It’s said that desperate times call for desperate measures. But in these dismal economic and political times, the Obama administration has called for unlawful measures that grant amnesty to potentially millions of illegal immigrants.
Today, Janet Napolitano, secretary of Homeland Security, announced immunity from deportation for illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States before they turned 16 and who are younger than 30 – among other criteria. They can apply for a two-year work permit that can be... Read full story: Lamar Smith: Obama's amnesty for illegal immigrants is against the law - CSMonitor.com
Why some illegal immigrants aren't celebrating Obama’s new policy (+video) - CSMonitor.com
With Hispanic voters upset by his failure to prod Congress into action on immigration reform, President Obama issued an executive order Friday that could allow some 800,000 undocumented immigrants age 30 or younger to remain and work in the United States legally.
Republicans in Congress expectedly attacked the policy, calling it an end-run around the legislative process and a form of back-door amnesty that represented “a breach of faith with the American people," according to Rep. Lamar Smith (R) of Texas.
But more surprisingly, some of the very people set to benefit from the policy change questioned the timing and actual impact of the policy change. Despite Mr. Obama's apparent... Read full story: Why some illegal immigrants aren't celebrating Obama’s new policy (+video) - CSMonitor.com

'This is not how you run a constitutional republic. This ought to be in the hands of Congress'
'Obama violating Constitution and oath of office'
President Obama triggered a political and legal firestorm on Friday when he ordered a rule change through the Department of Homeland Security that allows young illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. and legally obtain work
permits. The policy was one the major components of the DREAM Act, which failed to clear Congress even under Democrat control.
The easing of the rule is aimed at illegals who were brought to the U.S. before they turned 16 years old and are currently younger than 30. The president says it’s unfair to to punish those young people for decisions their parents made and those young adults are already contributing to society.
Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, isn’t buying any of that. The Republican lawmaker is a member of the House Judiciary Committee and says the greatest outrage in this move is Obama’s ignoring of the Constitution. King says the president
can’t just create new laws through executive orders because he’s frustrated that his agenda can’t get through Congress.
“This man has refused to enforce immigration law, and now he issues an executive order that essentially institutes an amnesty program by executive order and I think this needs to go to the courtroom and I’m prepared to go there,” King told WND.
King adds that he’s ready to take the president to court for acting in a manner that is clearly reserved for the legislative branch. He has experience in this type of legal fight.
As an Iowa state senator, King successfully sued then-Gov. Tom Vilsack over what King sees as the same type of executive branch power grab.
“What the president is doing is ordering that his executive branch carry out a policy that is in direct violation of constitutionally and congressionally passed federal law,” said King.
The congressman says he isn’t concerned that what the president did may be similar to a reform plan being assembled by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio because the legislative process is where these things need to be hashed out.
King says he will press the legal challenge to the president’s move regardless of what GOP leaders do.

Spending money, like Barack Obama - Tea Party Nation
He has just done it again.
What has he done?
He has gone off fundraising again, sticking the taxpayers with the tab.
In other words, we the people are paying for the privilege of this clown running for reelection.
How is that happening?
Yesterday Barack Obama went to two star studded fundraisers in New York. Ordinarily if the President goes to a strictly political event, the campaign is on the hook for at least some of the costs of the trip.
But surprise, Obama threw in an amazingly brief trip to the World Trade Center site and suddenly it is an official trip and the taxpayers are stuck with the tab.
Would it be snide to mention yesterday was Flag Day and remind everyone of Michelle Obama’s “All of this for a flag,” comment at the 9/11 ten year anniversary ceremony?

The Course | The Muslim Brotherhood in America
Welcome to The Muslim Brotherhood in America: The Enemy Within — a 10-part, web-based video briefing that is designed to explain why and how this is happening.
It addresses a threat most Americans are unaware even exists within our country, let alone the degree of peril it represents.
The threat is the totalitarian, supremacist Islamic doctrine its adherents call “shariah” and the organized, disciplined and increasingly successful efforts by such adherents– most especially the Muslim Brotherhood– to bring it here.
We are making this course available in the hope of encouraging, informing and broadening support for national efforts to defeat the insinuation into this country of shariah’s anti-constitutional and seditious program.

Donny Deutsch: My Support Of Obama Is 'Wavering'
Might the man who once said of himself "there's been nobody who's a bigger Obama supporter" vote for Mitt Romney? Maybe. On today's Morning Joe, Donny Deutsch—ad exec, man-about-the-Hamptons and quintessential wealthy NYC liberal—declared that his support for President Obama is "wavering."
Deutsch said that it was the bad jobs numbers of a couple weeks ago that "changed everything for me." Reacting to Deutsch's surprising declaration, Willie Geist broke out a variation on LBJ's line about Walter Cronkite. Said Geist: "if I've lost Donny Deutsch, I've lost Middle America." View the video after the jump.
Watch Deutsch say something that should send shivers down Obama-campaign spines.
After playing a clip of Mitt Romney in which he says that President Obama will speak eloquently but that "words are cheap" and that "the record of an individual is the basis on which you determine whether they should hold onto their job", Joe Scarborough turns to Deutsch.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Donny Deutch, you wear two hats here. On, morning-news analyst --
DONNY DEUTSCH: Pundit, pundit.
SCARBOROUGH: Pundit. And two, wear your Disco Inferno hat, the funny nozzles where you drink beer and snort coke out of . . . But no, as a, you're obviously a supporter of President Obama, but you also obviously have a lot of friends who were supporters of President Obama who say the same exact thing that Mitt Romney's saying right now.
DEUTSCH: Yeah. I'm a supporter of Obama, but, um, wavering, candidly. Two weeks ago changed everything for me, when those [bad jobs] numbers came out.
Deutsch then depicted scenarios in which President Obama might yet win, but concluded by saying "it's very questionable."
WILLIE GEIST: Donny says he's wavering. You remember LBJ's famous line: if I've lost Donny Deutsch, I've lost Middle America. It rears its head once again.
